"The Divided Brain" by Iain Mcgilchrist

...i think on this subject there is much to talk and discuss. But, my understanding is that we have a "mentality" of reason , and other intuitive each dominated by one hemisphere of our brain. In this context, i think our human relation with another persons is determinated by greater or lesser influence of one of this hemisphere.

If we think that the two hemispheres of the brain operate independently, but are united by corpus callosum, it is also logical to think that we operate as full human beings both hemispheres must be in balance.

So, my personal opinion is that the way we interact with others, is linked to the will we have to share and plise others. The level of commitment we are willing to have with others, and is not a predisposition in our DNA. I think it's a balance between emotion and reason,  that we can control perfectly.

And if all the people we try to relate better with others, this would be a more caring and concerned society of  everione's problems. So eventually the common good would be a matter of priority and general intres.
